The Adventures and Misadventures of a Neer Do Well Artist Living in Baltimore. |

About Me
I am a visual artist and writer living in Baltimore. I don't have any artist friends. Frankly, artists scare me, there so darn flaky. The above picture is either of me or proof that I'm a pretty decent artist. My goal is to be a self sufficient artist, whereas I wouldn't have to do something else in the day in order to eke out an existence. I also like to attend various cultural events around town. I go to plays, the symphony, etc. Also, I have Asperger's Syndrome. I found this out recently and it has explained a heck of a lot as to why I am as I am.

Angels, answer me,are you near if rain should fall? Am I to believe you will rise to calm the storm? For so great a treasure words will never do. Surely, if this is , promises are mine to give you. mine to give,,,,, Roma Ryan (Enya)
Anyway, while in the supermarket my stomach began to knot up something aweful. I felt like I was in the beginning stages of diarrhea. Before I knew it I had to go to the bathroom! I felt like I could go any minute. I remember walking very slowly down the aisles afraid that if I walked faster I would go right away. I flagged down an elderly stockboy and casually asked him if there were any bathrooms available. He pointed me in the general direction. When I got there was a man mopping the floor of the ladies restroom and a caution sign near the door. Oh, God!! I thought, it’s broken. It turns out he was just cleaning the place and promptly let me while he left. After I had used the facilities I fished around in my purse to find my half used bottle of Pepto-Bismol and made sure to buy another bottle. I got in the habit carrying bottles of PeptoBismol just like my mom did just in case something like this would happen. I was grateful for her bizarre insight that she passed on to me. I drank it and resumed my shopping with a fresh vigor.
we spotted the ocean at the head of the trail where are we going, so far away and somebody told me that this is the place where everything’s better, everything’s safe walk on the ocean step on the stones flesh becomes water water becomes bone Walk On the Ocean - Todd Nichols and Toad (Toad the Wet Spocket) Today when I came home from work I was listening to NPR while surfing the web. Ever since I sold the painting to that guy over in England it’s rekindled my interest in Doctor Who. So I scoured the web for new information about Who. I learned that the BBC will be airing via the web a new Sylvester Mccoy episode on 7/13/01. I also learned that the Sci-Fi chanel will be re-running the tv movie on 7/15/01. This is welcome news because the tv movie last aired in 1996 and has not been seen on American tv since. As I recall I rather liked the tv movie. However, I did’nt have the foresight to record it. Since it was Doctor Who I figured that the Fox network would eventually re-run. I believe they had some kind of a deal with the BBC where Fox had to run the movie twice before it could be released on video. They never did re-run thus it was never released on video in the US.
I left my mind I’d find Allison Road - Robin Wilson (Gin Blossoms) I took the day off work today because it was Midsummer or Lugnasadah, a pagan holiday. The main excitement today was that I learned that Orange Chicken and General Tso’s Chicken are one in the same. I learned this because I went to my neighborhood Chinese restaraunt for lunch and asked if they still sold Orange Chicken because I did’nt see it on the menu and the woman told me that General Tso’s Chicken was the same thing.
I saw Piano Lessons this afternoon at Center Stage. I was a little late. I was feeling angst ridden. I wore a tight black t-shirt tucked into jeans. The majority of the people in the audience were dressed like they were going to church. I was always taught that for matinee performances you can dress casual but for evening performances you have to dress up. Anyway, I did’nt really care I used to work there. The show was very good. Then again I tend to enjoy August Wilson’s plays very much. At intermission I bought a peice of lemon cake and a ginger ale. My tooth began to ache a little. I think my filling came out. I noticed that today when I brushed my teeth the upper tooth was very bloody. This was the tooth were I had a filling last fall. After the show I needed to buy a brand new pot because the one I have now has a hole in it. I can’t imagine living a life without boiling water for pasta and noodles. I first tried out Lechter’s at the Gallery. The Gallery is a very upscale mall near Baltimore’s Inner Harbor. Lechter’s is a store that specialises in cooking utensils. The prices for pots in that store was outlandish so I headed out of the store and into a more comfortable place, the bookstore. I found myself in the cookbook section. I became intrigued by a book called the 4-Ingrediant CookBook. Next thing I know I’ve bought the book! So I decide to take a bus and head on over to K-mart so I could buy a more reasonable priced pot as well as some groceries. All thoughout the long bus ride into the county my eyes were transfixed on recipes in the cookbook. I could’nt believe how uncomplicated they were and only 4 Ingedients needed!!! I really wanted to try one of those recipes that very night. After I bougt a good reasonabley priced pot I headed over to Metro Supermarket. I stead of walking the entire length around the block to the supermarket I decided to try for the first time the little underground ramp that cars head up towards Metro. I only did this because I saw an entire family walking up that way so I figured it must be safe. In the end I made to Metro’s a lot quicker than if I had walked around the block. I might try it again if I have to do K-mart and groceries again. While at the supermarket I was still feeling angst ridden and devil may care. I immediatly took the cookbook out of my purse and defiantly picked out ingrediants from it while it was propped against my shopping cart. I’m a rebel baby! I ended up making Fettucini Alfredo. It was very good. I cooked and ate it while I was watching Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm. It was better than expected!
