I am a visual artist and writer living in Baltimore. I don't have any artist friends. Frankly, artists scare me, there so darn flaky. The above picture is either of me or proof that I'm a pretty decent artist. My goal is to be a self sufficient artist, whereas I wouldn't have to do something else in the day in order to eke out an existence. I also like to attend various cultural events around town. I go to plays, the symphony, etc. Also, I have Asperger's Syndrome. I found this out recently and it has explained a heck of a lot as to why I am as I am.
Im not sure if I love this new song by a group UK group called The Feeling or not. You see after hearing their song, I Love it When You Call, about twice on two seperate occasions I can not get it out of my head. I even woke up a couple of days ago with that happy song buzzing around in my brain. Which makes me wonder if the song is buzzing around in my head because I like it or is it my own personal earworm? I heard the word, earworm, used a while ago on NPR as a term used for when catchy songs get stuck in your head.
I have to admit that I Love It When You Call, is one of those catchy feel good power pop songs. Trust me if you heard it you would feel compelled to tap your toes whether you wanted to or not.
Below is a post that someone put up of the song on YouTube. The post is unique in that it is only the music to I Love It When You Call, no video is included. So sit back and enjoy a little power pop or welcome to music hell....
Now that Im on a sort of a music tip. Just for fun I thought it would be interesting to post my 25 most played songs on iTunes. The songs listed are a little old and a little new. As you can see I am still fascinated by I Love It When You Call by The Feeling. I suppose the big shocker is that a mellow song about heroin use, Golden Brown, by the punk rock band, The Stranglers, is number 1. In case you have forgotten how the song goes or have never heard it before I have included the original 1982 video of The Stranglers Golden Brown at the end of this post.
By the way the play count for these songs was calculated by iTunes. So here, without further adieu is:
Gail’s 25 Most Played Songs on iTunes The week ending 11/11/06
