IMPEACH GEORGE BUSH!! GJ Willis' Art Notes

The Adventures and Misadventures of a Neer Do Well Artist Living in Baltimore.

My Photo
Name:
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States

I am a visual artist and writer living in Baltimore. I don't have any artist friends. Frankly, artists scare me, there so darn flaky. The above picture is either of me or proof that I'm a pretty decent artist. My goal is to be a self sufficient artist, whereas I wouldn't have to do something else in the day in order to eke out an existence. I also like to attend various cultural events around town. I go to plays, the symphony, etc. Also, I have Asperger's Syndrome. I found this out recently and it has explained a heck of a lot as to why I am as I am.

Isn’t it rich? Are we a pair? Me here at
last on the ground, you in mid air.... Send in the
clowns. Isn’t it
bliss? Don’t you approve? One who keeps
tearing around, one who can’t move... Where are the
clowns? Send in the clowns. Just when I’d
stopped opening doors, Finally
knowing the one that I wanted was yours, Makin my
entrance again with my usual flair, Sure of my
lines, No one is there.
Don’t you love farce? My fault, I
fear. I thought that you’d want what I want. Sorry, my
dear... But where are the clowns? Quick, send in the
clowns. Don’t bother they’re here.

Send In The Clowns, Words and Music by Stephen Sondheim, @ 1973 Revelation Music Publishing Corp. & Rilting Music, Inc.(ASCAP)

I went to the library today. My library of choice has always been the main branch of the Enoch Pratt. I was astonished to find the library swarming with cops when I got there. They were even parked up on the sidewalk. I wonder what had happened at the library as I went in. I doubt that terrorist were involved. I get the feeling that libraries are not the cup of tea for terrorist threats. There’s no bang for the buck.

When I finally made it inside I was surprised to find that I had not accrued any overdue fines. At the library I checked out three fiction books. I hope I actually finish them. Also I finally went to the 2nd floor of the library. My original intent in doing this was to see if they had any books that featured the work of artist, Jack Vettriano. I ordered and pre-ordered his books on Amazon, I wanted to get a sneak peak on what I would expect to see. I had no such luck. There were absolutely no books on Vettriano in the library. However, I did see a bunch of art books I wanted to try out. Next time I think I’ll pick up the Bob Ross, Joy of Painting Books.

I found out as I was leaving the library the reason behind all the cops swarming the place. The female security guard told me that the Vice President’s wife was at the library. Come to think of it as I was leaving out of the library’s Fine Art’s Department I did notice across the hall there was a large spread of food and deserts. This kind of made me think that that was the setup they must have had out for Mrs. Cheney’s visit. So I guess you could say that was my brush with the mystique of Presidency via the Vice Presidents wife that I never saw.
