IMPEACH GEORGE BUSH!! GJ Willis' Art Notes

The Adventures and Misadventures of a Neer Do Well Artist Living in Baltimore.

My Photo
Name:
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States

I am a visual artist and writer living in Baltimore. I don't have any artist friends. Frankly, artists scare me, there so darn flaky. The above picture is either of me or proof that I'm a pretty decent artist. My goal is to be a self sufficient artist, whereas I wouldn't have to do something else in the day in order to eke out an existence. I also like to attend various cultural events around town. I go to plays, the symphony, etc. Also, I have Asperger's Syndrome. I found this out recently and it has explained a heck of a lot as to why I am as I am.

Since I am off work a majority of this week it has left me time to reflect. I suppose I should be great full that my fathers only complaint about me is that I take a lot of photographs without people in it. So to remedy that I took a photograph or two of myself complete with costume changes. I am not sure if I will put the above photograph permanently on this blog to replace the digital picture that I did or keep the digital picture up.

Also here is another picture of me. On this one I am wearing a hat I recently made with the Knifty Knitter. The Knifty Knitter is a round knitting loom. I saw it one day while shopping at Michaels. It was on sale for $9.99, with a price like that I had to give it a try. So now I have a set of four looms that cost me just 9.99 for a set of four!

I have to say that I am pretty darn proud of that hat I made! I completed it in one day!!! Normally, it would take me several weeks to finish something like that. I have to admit that the instructions that came with the kit were pretty vague. I had to view an online video to understand how to knit with the Knifty Knitter. After everything was figured out I was ready to go.

Next I will see if I can figure out how to knit a pair of mittens. The only instructions that came with the kit were for a hat. I suppose I am the only grown up woman in the world that has a preference for mittens over gloves!! :)
