The Adventures and Misadventures of a Neer Do Well Artist Living in Baltimore.

My Photo
Name:
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States

I am a visual artist and writer living in Baltimore. I don't have any artist friends. Frankly, artists scare me, there so darn flaky. The above picture is either of me or proof that I'm a pretty decent artist. My goal is to be a self sufficient artist, whereas I wouldn't have to do something else in the day in order to eke out an existence. I also like to attend various cultural events around town. I go to plays, the symphony, etc. Also, I have Asperger's Syndrome. I found this out recently and it has explained a heck of a lot as to why I am as I am.

SUNDAY, CHURCH DAY
Today, I went off to Church. Today’s sermon was done by members of the Women’s Covenant Group. They did OK. One of the two speakers left her mike on after her speach. So you could pretty much hear every little word of the conversation she was having with someone as the choir was singing. I do not think that she was aware of this until a little later. One of the speakers seemed to be rushing and misprounouncing words. Then I realized that she must be nervous. Someone ran to give her a glass of water. I believe that the woman who was having trouble speaking was the same who had forgot to turn off her mike earlier.

After Church I went home and watched TV on my Apple MacBook.

TV ON THE COMPUTER
I finally watched the season opener of Heroes and House, MD. Ironically enough I tried watching Heroes yesterday on the NBC website but the feed was too slow. It was so slow that I had to give up. I ended watching on my favourite TV website that is not affiliated with a major network. Unfortunately, the link fon that site for the season opener of Family Guy was taken down. It was titled Blue Harvest which was the working title of Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.

After watching the season openers to shows I missed I finished watching the complete 4th season of Entourge that recently aired. I could not help myself who knows how long those links will be up?

I also watched Eastern Promises a Russian mob movie set in England, starring Viggo Mortensen. Overall, it was pretty damn good. I would be shocked if my man, Viggo, did not get a best actor nomination. I also found myself slowing down and pausing the film a little because of the nude fight scene Viggo has with some fully clothed hitmen in a steam room. He was the only one naked while the other two were fully clothed. As far as I could tell it appears he did the scene au naturel. However, the film quality was not too good.

Unfortunatly, the version of the film that I saw was not complete. I have no idea how the movie ended. The last scene I saw was Viggio talking to the Scotland Yard or MI5 guy and you get the big reveal that Viggo’s character is an undercover KBG agent then the movie cuts off with no payback or proper ending. I did not even see an end title sequence. Oh, well I suppose I will have to rent the movie in a couple of months to find out how it ends.

NO OVERTIMEAgain, this Saturday, no overtime was offered at work. I spent the day grocery shopping and visiting my father.

I remembered to make a stop at Dunkin Donuts to pick up his favourite donut, a Boston Creme Donut. He told me he was not feeling too well. Hopefully the donut will raise his spirits a little. His breathing seems very labored. I hope he feels better tomorrow.

I bought a bucket of KFC chicken at the store on Fayette Street. I usually buy a bucket of chicken and side orders for my family to eat when I come over to visit on Saturday. Today, the store was a little crowded. I think it may have been because there was a baseball game today. They even ran out of chicken. It must have been seriously busy in the store for them to run out of chicken. Because of this I had to wait a little before my order was ready.

Oh, earlier in the day I bought my father a telephone book because he often forgets or looses phone numbers because they are all on various scraps of paper. I also bought my sister some Dove soap because she had called me up earlier today to ask if I would pick some up for her. When I got over the house she had already bought herself some soap as well as other things from the store.

While visiting my father I also played with my grandniece, Shay who is seven. We played the Disney Edition of a game called, Guess Who. Then a little later she shanghighed me into playing school with her. While playing I learned that she got a Birthday card from her teacher for September 27th. She showed it to me. Her birthday is in April. I do not understand why her teacher gave her a birthday card when her birthday is in April not September. Oh, well,.... Not my kid, Not my problem....

MORNING COMMUTE:
It looks like Im going to be on time for work today. I walked down to the light rail station instead of waiting for the bus. The train arrived precisely at 6:12 like its suppossed to. Wow! I have been on time for work everyday this week. I suppose walking to the light rail station works better for me than waiting for the bus. When waiting for a bus there is no telling whether it will be on time or not.

FEELING SLIGHTLY LESS WORRIED
I feel a little better than I did this week. So far I have not gotten any angry phone calls from my landlord about something my neighbor said I did but never bothered to tell me about. I am literally tip toeing around my apartment making sure I am not doing anything that might render a complaint.

I will wait until seven tonight because that was around the time he called last week to see if she has called him about anything else... If I do not receive a phone call by seven I will consider it an automatic OK to relax a little and try to unwind.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a striped v-neck short sleeve shirt of turqouise, mauve, lime green, white, and magenta.

MORNING COMMUTE:
I again left out early enough to walk down to the light rail station. I caught the light rail train on time. It looks like I will be on time for work.

FEELING UNEASY
I am still feeling uneasy at home wondering what my neighbor might call the landlord to complain about me doing next. Then say that she had told me when she did not. I am literally having panic attacks while at home in a place I ought to feel relaxed at. I do not understand why she did not come to me first before contacting the landlord. Thus making me come across to the landlord as a horrible uncaring jerk of a person when I am not. If anything Im an overly cautious person.

I have lived there for close to a decade without one single complaint until now. Surely, a record like that is in my favour? All I know is that I do not want to get another angry phone call from my landlord claiming that my neighbor had told me several times about her complaint when she did not. I feel so nervous and shaky that Im thinking of going into therapy over this. My legs even feel slightly wobbly when I walk. I do not feel as sure footed as I did before the incident. I just want to know why she went directly to him instead of saying something to me first. The whole thing is just so disconcerting. Is the problem with me or with her? At the very least she could have left a note on my door telling me of her concerns.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on blue jeans, Nike MaxAir shoes, and a turqouise tee shirt that has a picture of a pineapple on it.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Today, I got up early enough to walk to walk to the light rail stop. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the man who was on the corner a lot during the winter/spring was no longer there. All in all, it was a pleasant walk down the block. I caught the train on time and everything.

THE NEIGHBOR
Recently, I got an irate phone call from my landlord saying that my upstairs neighbor was upset that I had been burning incense. Its true, I have been burning incence during my yoga practice. The part that has me most upset is that he said that she said that she had spoken to me about it when she had not. I can not believe that she did not come to me first. She could have left a note on my door saying to please refrain from burning incense because it was wrecking havock with her respiratory system. Then she also according to him said that I was burning it all hours of the night. This is impossible for me to be doing because I start getting ready to leave out for work around 4 in the morning. Also I do not start yoga until around 9ish just before bedtime.

At first I was really troubled by this then I remembered the Law of Karma. All Im saying is that she should have said something to me first before she went to him and over exaggerated the situation. Oh well, that’s life....

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a heather grey short sleeve Henley, blue jeans, and New Balance 653 shoes.

I can not believe it! The bus actually arrived at the time it was supposed to. It was being driven by the driver that looks like an LL Cool J clone. As a result of the bus being on time I caught the train on time. So everything is looking up! :)

Today, I started watching season two of Entourage. I watched up until James Cameron approved Vince Chase for Aquaman. I was literally on the edge of my seat wondering if E could pull it off. This of course was stupid because I knew that he would get the part. I read about the show on the internet. The reason I have only watched the show on the internet is because I do not see myself ever getting cable. It costs too darn much and the price for it keeps going up. If I want to watch a show, I’ll watch it on the internet, or rent it on Netflix.

SUNDAY CHURCH DAY
This morning I went to Church. To the best of my recollection this was the first time ever that we have done anything formally to celebrate Mabon. There was even a modern dance routine during the service that was choreographed by a woman whose last name was Jiggetts. I point this out because my mothers maiden name was Jiggetts. I think that the odds are pretty good that the dancer is related to me in some way. I’d wager she is probably one of my cousins from Jersey.

Jiggetts is a highly unique last name. The vast majority of people with that surname are African American. If I run into a Jiggetts odds are they are kin. So it was nice to see someone I might be in some way related to at my Church on Sunday during the Fall Equinox service.

After Church I watched all of season one of Entourage. This was the expensive box set I bought at Borders. When I went to Target I picked up season two for just 19.99. I think I’ll go back there next pay day to pick up season three part one. Season three part two does not come out until October 2. Why they broke the season up like this I do not know? Why I’ve become addicted to watching this sitcom I don’t know.

The main reason I had to buy the disks was because all the episodes are not available online. My two favourite characters on the show are Johnny Drama played by Kevin Dillon and super agent, Ari Gold played by Jeremy Piven. I believe those two regulary go against each other with best comedy supporting actor Emmy nominations. As far as I know Piven has picked up two Emmys for his role in the series.

NO SATURDAY OVERTIME
Today, to the best of my knowledge there was no overtime at work. Neither of the supervisors went around asking workers if they wanted to come into work today. Then again its possible that they might have had while I was at lunch...

Since there was no work I went over my fathers house earlier than usual. I ate breakfast at McDonald’s I had one of their iced coffees. It did not taste as good as it did the first time I tried it. This time it was a little bitter and not as sweet.

Almost every Saturday that I visit my father I bring a bucket of KFC chicken and side orders with me. This time I could not go to the KFC on Fayette. When I went to the store at 11am there was a sign in the window that said they had a grease fire and would be opening up momentarily. I felt stunned by this news as well as reluctant to buy chicken after a recent grease fire. My fear was that it would not taste right. So I decided to go to an alternate KFC.

The only one I could think of was the KFC on North Avenue and Saint Paul. When I made it there there was a group of developmentally handicapped adults there with their counselor ordering food. I was not sure if the store accepted ATM cards because I did not see any credit card signs in the windows and I would hate to order food and then find out that my suspicions were true that for what ever reason in 2007 this particular branch did not deal with plastic. So I asked if they accepted ATM cards. The cashier said no, because there machine was down.

I had no other choice but to leave and find an ATM to withdraw cash from. I ended up at the train station. I got the food and placed it in newly bought shopping cart. When I finally got over my fathers house I gave him the photocopies of his insurance invoice form, and a newly bought shaving mirror. I also gave my nephew his new iPod in a butch silver grey colour. He told me he wanted one but not in the pink colour that my grandniece Shay has.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Since I was on time yesterday I did not want to take any chances so I left out even earlier than I did yesterday. Despite this the bus was crowded. When a bus is crowded it likely to be late as well. So after the triumph of being on time I was late again. It should be noted that yesterday’s on time bus was being driven by a different driver than the guy who I believe is now the regular driver for the #20. The regular driver looks like LL Cool J, complete with a baseball cap. I suppose I will have to devise a way to leave out even earlier than I did today. The street I catch the bus on has three buses running on it that all go by the light rail station. I feel that if I left out even earlier my chances would better. The LL Cool J guy started out with such great promise for promptness. There must be something about the #20 line that causes drivers to slack off from on time to being late which causes passengers like me to be late. I still can not believe I left out extra early bypassing eating breakfast at home to eat it on the train to be late. Its like I can’t win for losing. I think I would be better off I got car. The problem with that is that I would have to pay for insurance and for gas.

ANOTHER LAPTOP
I am starting to give serious thought to buying another laptop to carry around and type my blog into. I have noticed that Walmart has an Acer laptop that costs just three hundred something. If it got stolen or broken I will still have my main Apple MacBook at home. I would also like to buy my dad an HDTV. I think he would like it a lot. The TV he has now is an analog and it can not get VHF stations like channel 45, 54, 22 etc.

I know that he would be interested in watching a show like that Ken Burns documentary. He loves watching news and shows about WWII. I guess I would be buying this as a kind of experiment. I do not own an HDTV yet. I’ll see if he likes it. If he does then I’ll get one for myself.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a blue and white pinstriped short sleeve blouse, black slacks, a red fleece hoodie, and Nike MaxAir shoes.

MORNING COMMUTE:
FINALLY!!
The bus #20 arrived at 6:02. It was being driven by a big man who was sporting a fro. The celebrity he most resembled was that guy that played Brother Man on Martin. The train arrived at 6:12. It looks like I will FINALLY be on time for work! May this good fortune continue on!

LEFT EARLY
For the first time in my adult life I voluntarily left out early from work. I felt ill. I felt that if I stayed there would be a 50-50 chance I might throw up, vomit, or regurgitate. Yes, I know they all mean the same thing...

Every morning I make it a point to put a little something in my mouth before I leave out for work. The reason being is so that I would not be taking my Metformin on an empty stomach which you guessed it could lead to nasseau. The only thing I had for breakfast was a cup of coffee.

Recently, I started making my own coffee in the morning to save money because almost every morning I would end up buying a cup at Dunkin Donuts. This was the first time in the week and a half that I decided to brew my own coffee that I drank it without eating anything along with it. Also at work I like to drink a bottled Starbucks vanilla cappuccino. I believe a combination of drinking two coffee drinks with no food buffer and then taking my medicine on an empty stomach really did me in. I usually take my first dose of Metformin a little after nine. By eleven that morning I felt as though I had just gotten off a tilt whirl. I felt nauseous and miserable. I did not feel that I could continue on at work. Even when I buy a coffee I also buy a reduced fat blueberry muffin (9-points on Weight Watchers) as a buffer.

This morning I made extra sure to eat something before I left out. I had a Lean Hot Pocket. Usually home breakfast fare is usually Weight Watchers baked goods like Blue Berry Muffins 3-points, or any of there 1-point treats like carrot cake, caramel cake, chocolate cake, etc. along with a cup of coffee

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning I was again this close to catching the bus on train. I left out now fifteen minutes early. Halfway to the stop in my rush to leave out early I realized that I neglected to take along my bag. So I had to walk back and get it. I ended up again taking the bus that’s supposed to come at 6:03 but arrrives much later. As per usual the bus was late and extremely crowded. There was even a wheelchaired man aboard. When the bus got to the light rail station I was surprised to see that there still people waiting for the train. For a brief moment I thought I was going to be on time. Then the next train that arrived was a Penn Station train not a Hunt Valley. This would indicate that the people were there because they missed the Hunt Valley train. I suppose that the train must be back to arriving way before the time it is supposed to or there would not have been that many people standing at the station. Oh, well. I’ll give it another go tommorrow...

SHE’S BACK!
Finally, co-worker Keisha is back at work. She’s been gone for quiet a while due to maternity leave. Im happy to see her back. She had a boy and girl twins. I was wondering if she had forgotten about us or decided to be a stay at home mom. Her desk has a lot of Betty Boop things on it. Finally things seem right again. Also ex-coworker, Darrin who now works in our other building stopped buy. It was nice to see him again. He looks a lot like a younger, skinnier, Issaac Hayes.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on blue jeans, Nike MaxAir shoes, a red fleece hoodie, and a tie dyed turquoise, ecru, and tan short sleeved top.

This morning I again got up earlier than usual and left out earlier than usual into the chill morning autumn air. I guess I will have to leave out even earlier in order to catch the bus that comes before his.

MORNING COMMUTE:
I was almost on time this morning. I was on the #20 bus when I watched the train pass by. Oh, well...

This morning it is very a nice chilly fall morning. Almost makes me want to drink some apple cider or something.

OJ SIMPSON ARRESTED...AGAIN
Somehow I really do not care that much that OJ was arrested for taking his stuff back from a collector. I mean does the guy who had the stuff have proof that he was not trying to pawn off stolen goods? OJ claims that the stuff he stole were items that were stolen from him. If its his stuff how can it be considered stealing? I know that there are a lot of people chomping at the bit to have him imprisoned. Even the guy who stole his stuff did not want to press charges. A while ago before all this happened The Don & Mike Show had him on as a guest. He sounded like a sleaze bag. Because of this I do not feel the slightest bit of sympathy towards him. He should not have been trying to sell stolen sports memorabilia.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on blue jeans, a blue and white striped shirt, and a red fleece hoodie. Yesterday, I finally took a little of my fall/winter clothes out of storage.

MY MINISTERS ARE RETIRING
For the first time in several weeks I went to Church. While there I was shocked to learn that our ministers Rev. Hubbell and her husband Rev. Manwell, will be retiring after the Church year ends in June. Rev. Manwell had a hear attack this Spring. In fact he was in the same hospital my brother was in before he had his bypass surgery. Im not surprised that they are retiring they are up there in age. Also a little surprised to find out that Manwell is 77 years old. He is the exact same age as my father. Somehow I always had him and his wife pegged as being younger than my father.

I hope that whoever we get next September will be a good fit for the congregation. Rev. Manwell and his wife Rev. Hubbell have been at First Church for fourteen years. Also it was Tim’s first day back since his illness. He stood up and thanked everyone for all the get well cards he got. He seems to be a very gregarious person so Im not surprised by the response he got.

MORNING COMMUTE:
I am off to work again this Saturday. Before catching the train I stopped off at McDonald’s and picked up one of their iced coffee’s. I had never had one before. They give you a choice between Hazelenut and Vanilla iced coffee. Since I have a food allergy I had the vanilla flavoured one. Eating nut based foods causes my throat to swell up. Basically, me having an allergic reaction aint very pretty.

I have to say after drinking the iced vanilla coffee, their iced coffees are way better than the ones at Dunkin Donuts. Usually with the ones at Dunkin Donuts I have to add more sugar to it to sweeten it. The sweetness was just right with the McDonald’s iced coffee. I think I may try another one later next week.

As per usual after work I visited my father and bought along a bucket of KFC chicken.

WHAT IM WEARING:

MORNING COMMUTE:
Last night I went to bed three hours early. I woke up an hour early. Waking up I had enough time to squeeze in yoga. I even left out the door to the catch the bus early. Despite all this the #20 bus was crowded and late. I do not know what to do any more... Ive tried my best to leave out early to catch the darn bus. It seems that no matter what I do that bus ends up showing up late.

On a kind of good note I again walked down to the next light rail stop.

FARE INSPECTION
This morning a cop got on the train at the Centre Street stop to check tickets for fare inspection. He seemed nice and did not have an attitude.

I still can not get over that angry cop who did fare inspections one morning last winter. That cop clearly had issues and ought to have been in anger management therapy. He acted as though he would bust some heads if we did not take our tickets out fast enough for him. I mean 99% of people taking the train in the morning are heading to work and not fleeing a crime scene. You could take one look at us and tell that we were working people not gang bangers. Thankfully, todays cop was reasonable. He didnt act as though he would pistol whip us at any moment. Hopefully, that cop from last winter is in therapy.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on blue jeans, New Balance 653 shoes, and a lavender shirt that has a picture of a Coca Cola bottle within a pink and cocoa brown semi-circle with three flowers of pink, yellow, and lime green at the bottom. MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning I am late yet again. I left out early but the #20 bus was late in arriving. When I got off the #20 bus a Hunt Valley train had just left the station. So I decided to walk down to the Camden Yards station. As I was walking down the street I saw a Penn Station train pass by. When I arrived at Camden Yards a Hunt Valley train had just pulled into the station. So today Im late but I got plenty of exercise.

VOTER TURN OUT
I am not the slightest bit shocked by the low voter turn out for Baltimore’s recent Mayoral race. The turn out was at around 26 percent. I did not vote because I had previously committed to doing overtime on that day. I would have felt uncomfortable backing out of it because had agreed to do it days ago. It was not until the day of the election that I realized that I had already committed to doing overtime.

One thing I did not like about the race was how the media constantly touted Sheila Dixon as being the winner before the election even began. I am not a big fan of Sheila Dixon. I kind of liked Jill Carter but she tends to speak in a slighty rushed manner. I would have voted for Keiffer Mitchell. The problem with him was that his campaign manager, his father, appeared to have it in for him. I do not understand why. From what I see of Keiffer he seems like a nice guy. I do not understand why his father stole money from his son’s campaign and the day before the election kicked Keiffer out of his own campaign headquarters. Keiffer’s dad sounds like a pretty mean vindictive piece of work. Then again I do not know them personally. For all I know Keiffer’s dad might be nice and kicking his son out might have been justified...

As fas as Sheila Dixon goes she is this close to being indicted. She gives jobs to family and friends who never show up for work but just cash checks. Also I could be wrong in thinking this but Sheila Dixon looks a little anorexic. In her campaign literature she is pictured beside her son and daughter who appear to be of normal weight however she looks downright skeletal. This makes me wonder if she has an eating disorder or is just naturally boney.

Overall, I felt extremely apathetic about the candidates, Sheila Dixon (about to be indicted), Keiffer Mitchell (serious problem with his Dad), Joan Carter (fast talker).

MORNING COMMUTE:
I was this close to catching the #20 bus on time. However, I was not close enough...

I was literally five steps away from the stop when I saw the bus pass by. I ended up taking the #1 bus. Then I got on a train where I honestly believe it was being driven by a functional retard.

The train was marked Cromwell. The Cromwell train is a southbound not northbound train. Clearly, the driver had just arrived from Cromwell and did not bother to change the sign on his train. I got on it anyway hoping that the driver would eventualuuy announce his final destination. 90% of lightrail drivers announce their final destinations at various stops. This imbecile never did.

He said absolutely nothing until he arrived at the Mount Royal stop. All he said when he reached the Mount Royal stop was, “Mount Royal.” When he got to the North Avenue stop all he said was “Next stop...” without any mention of what the next stop was. During my entire ride not once did this imbecile say where his final stop was. I did not know if he was a Penn Station, Timonium, or Hunt Valley train. Thankfully he did not turn after the Mount Royal stop into the tracks that lead to Penn Station. The way this imbecile was driving I would not put it pass him to have driven there without telling any of the passengers.

At the Timonium Business Park stop he said the next stop is Timonium. Then I felt a since of relief it must be a Hunt Valley train! Halfway towards the stop almost as an after thought the driver said, Timonium is the last stop! I felt so angry at this imbecile. Did he not know where he was heading? It sure sounded that way.

Does the MTA send light rail drivers out higgedly piggedly? This driver at every stop should have announced where his final stop was and not once did the retard do it. The only thing he seemed to remember to do was say, “Next stop is...”, and only occasionally mention what the name of that stop was. Not to mention he did not bother to change the sign on his train.

There are basic procedures that drivers should follow and this imbecile was clearly not following them. I don’t know maybe I should not be too harsh for all I know it could have been his first day on the job without a trainer at his side. The guy did sound pretty young...

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning it is dark, dreary, and drizzly. I am late for work. I could have been on time but since it was raining I had to hunt around to find my umbrella and a jacket. I looked in my closet and found a charcoal grey suit jacket that I have not worn in years. The jacket goes back to my days with David. Thus it is about 3 sizes too big.

Patriot Day 9/11
Today is the 6th Anniversary of 9/11. I feel it is fitting that it is grey and rainy outside. I was at work listening to the KML Show when it happened. Back then KML stood for Kirk, Mark, and the late great radio newsman Lopez. I recall that when the first tower went down it was Kirk who immediately felt it was a terrorist act. The other two seemed to think that he was thinking too rashly. In the end it was a terrorist act.

I also recall that 92Q’s morning show had nada coverage of the event. I do not know why but I felt angry at them for practically ignoring a major news event by treating it as a normal day and playing hip hop song after hip hop song.

On that day I found myself seeking out as much news as I could about the event. I remember feeling nervous and slightly frazzled. They had attacked the Pentagon building and DC is just a hop, skip, and a jump from Baltimore. For the first time in my life I knew what it felt like to be under attack.

Sure, I grew up in the hood but I know what areas to avoid that might be under attack by gangs or drug dealers. However, this time it was different. It was foreigners trying to take us out and who knew what they would attack.

I guess because of the events of 9/11 I like listening to the Ed Norris Show. I love how he ends each show by saying, “ Remember they’re out there and they’re trying to kill us.” Sure it sounds pretty darn paranoid but its true.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on stone washed jeans, Nike MaxAir shoes, a short sleeve red and white striped blouse, and a charcoal grey over sized suit jacket.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Today, it looks like I will be on time for work. I tried to catch the #10 bus but the woman driving it was just speeding by all the stops. I do not understand why she was driving in a take no prisoners manner. I ended up catching the #1 bus.

Just as I got off the bus a train was about to come up the tracks. I think the light rail driver was new to the job. Just after North Avenue the train lost power, the lights went off and everything. Luckily she got it together and the train continued barrelling down the tracks trouble free.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a short sleeve magenta top, blue jeans, and New Balance 653 shoes.

SUNDAY BANK DEPOSIT
Today, I did a lot of running around to find deposit envelopes to deposit money into the bank. I started out by going to the bank branch in my neighborhood. There was no enevelopes there just trash in the bin marked, Envelopes. I checked both the drive in and walk up ATM’s.

Next I went downtown to the main branch again just trash in the box labeled Envelopes. So I hoped on a bus and into the suburbs.

As luck would have it I found plenty of deposit envelopes. The only problem I had was that in the suburbs the ATM for my bank is drive through only. So I had to stalk the ATM until there were no cars about so I could deposit my cash. I felt kind of weird doing this.

I hope that the people in their cars did not think I was trying to rob them or was a crazy homeless person. I just needed to deposit money. I suppose the people in the suburbs do not like to leave their cars thus the plethora of drive through only ATM’s.

In the city at some branches it’s a combination drive-thru /walk up ATM’s. If there is no drive-thru then the most common ATM in the city is the walk up.

The principle being that I do not believe it is right to pay a company exorbant amounts of money to watch TV. Yeah, Im old skool except where technology is concerned. So yeah, Ive been watching the show free off of the internet. I can not explain why I’ve become so attached to the show. Watching the show is like visiting old friends albeit friends that are a bit self centered. The only drawback from watching it online is that not all the episodes are available. So its pretty much hit and miss. I know that eventually I will end up buying a DVD of the show in order to catch the episodes that have not been uploaded to the internet. If I do this then this will make the second TV show series I've collected. The first being my beloved, Doctor Who.

MORNING COMMUTE:
I went to work this morning. While waiting for the train I noticed a lot of well dressed people milling about downtown. When I see a lot of well dressed people on a Saturday morning I assume there must be some convention in town most likely a Christian convention of some sort. They like to dress up a lot. A lot of the people seemed to be wearing black and orange. I also noticed a lot of single sex duos wearing look alike clothes. Was it a convention of gay Christians? I saw one of them carrying an orange blow up bat that had Momentum written on it in black. I feel uncomfortable with a lot of well dressed people walking around on an early morning weekend. It makes me feel as though Ive stumbled across a Jehovas Witness gathering.

I wanted to grab breakfast at McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts but due to the influx of well dressed people the line stretched all the way to the back of the store so I did not go in.

As far as the light rail goes I noticed that they added a Penn Station train to the regular fleet of trains. Ordinarily, you do not see the Penn Station train until the Mount Royal Stop. So I had to wait for two trains to arrive before my train normally does. I do not understand why there is a train that just goes to Timonium. I’d rather it go back to how it was with a train either going to Penn Station or Hunt Valley.

At the York Road station I saw a cat chasing a rabbit in the parking lot. .

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on blue jean shorts, a yellow top that has a design of flowers on it in various shades of blue, and tan and brown leather slides.

MORNING COMMUTE:
I am late this morning. I was just seconds from being on time. I saw the #20 bus speed by before I could run to catch it. I ended up taking the #1 bus down to the light rail station. Since I had pretty much missed the train that would have made me on time for work I stopped by Dunkin Donuts and bought an iced coffee. I suppose that there will be three people working in Dunkin Donuts on Fridays. By the way the iced coffee today was mixed perfectly.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a pink short sleeve blouse, blue jeans, and Nike MaxAir shoes.

MORNING COMMUTE:
It looks like I might be on time this morning. I caught a cab down to the University Center light rail station. The train arrived at 6:16. I have not been able to catch the train on time in weeks. I am surprised that the train is now arriving later than usual.

THE SECRET
Today, I started reading a book called, The Secret. According to the book if you think thoughts like I don’t want to be late you attract lateness. The book has something to do with The Law of Attraction. I wonder if just thinking positive thoughts be enough to put me on the right track to being on time for work again.

TV ON THE INTERNET
Yesterday, I got home from work around 9:30. I watched the third episode of Entourage. I love that show. I tried to watch more of Arrested Development but all the links for it is in DIVX Stage 6 format. Im leary about downloading it because I’m not sure how much memory it will eat up on my computer. I prefer using a formats that do not require me downloading anything extra.

I did not watch any shows on Joost last night because I was too tired and had only enough time to watch one TV show. One thing Im starting to get annoyed with Joost about is that they never seem to add any new content to there site. I need more episodes of the Scott Baio reality show called Scott Baio is 45 and Single. After watching the first couple of episodes on Joost I want more!

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on blue jeans, a turquoise t-shirt with a rhinestone encrusted pineapple in the center and New Balance 653 shoes.

Im late again. The train this morning was short a car.

TUESDAY OVERTIME
Last night I did overtime for a Walmart gift card. Last week I did overtime for a Giant supermarket giftcard. I did not receive the giftcard until today. I do not know why I chose Giant Supermarket because it is no where in the vicinity of my house. In fact I live closer to Safeway and Super Fresh than I do Giant.

Today, I have on a short sleeve black t-shirt, blue jeans, and Nike MaxAir shoes.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Late again. Got up extra early. How come I am keep making myself late when I can be on time?

I think I should be in therapy because of my father’s illness and I find it difficult to cope with the knowledge that he will not be around forever.

TV on the INTERNET
Today after work I watched Arrested Development, Little Britain, and Entourage on my laptop.

I liked Arrested Development a lot. I think I will see if I can watch all the episodes to that show online. My oly gripe about the show is that Jason Bateman and the woman who plays his sister on the show look too young to have teenage children. Maybe I’m a litte biased because Im around Bateman’s age and figure if he has a kid on the show they should be elementary school aged because he is in his 30’s. Im sure his real life kids are elementary school aged and not High School aged. For him to have high shool aged kids it would mean his character on the show married straight out of high school or something. Oh I just realized that the kid who played his son in the show was in Super Bad. really clicks with me.

I found Little Britain very amusing. Yeah, I know the narrator on the show is the one and only, Tom Baker, also known as the 4th Doctor Who. You know him he’s the one with the curly hair and the long scarf.

For some odd reason I feel I am becoming quiet attached to the characters on Entourage. I can not explain why I like it. I just do!

I also watched Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Wire. I did not feel that enamored of Curb Your Enthusiasm. But I am willing to give it another look see to try and find out what all the critical praise heaped on it is all about. I watched just a wee bit of The Wire. Its the first time I have ever watched that show. From what I saw it seemed pretty realistic. I could not watch it too long as it was near my bedtime.

In the end I think I will try and watch all episodes of Arrested Devolpment and Entourage. And I will give Curb Your Enthusiasm a second chance.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on stone washed jeans, striped v-neck shirt of turquoisem pink, white and New Balance 653 shoes.

SUNDAY
Finally, visited my family. I bought along the fully charged automatic air pump. I also bought along Kentucky Fried Chicken. My nephew Little David was there he helped me to blow up the pool.

When I got home I watched not on Joost but somewhere else on the internet.....The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum back to back. The Bourne Ultimatum really rocked.

All in all Im glad I watched the second Bourne movie (The Bourne Supremacy) before I saw the third. If I had only watched the latest one I would not have caught on to the fact that the conversation Bourne had with Pam was a retread where she gave him the wrong birthdate thus he knew that she had given him a clue. Loved all the twists and turns in The Bourne Ultimatum. I did not bother to watch the Bourne Identity because I saw it when it first came out in the movies.

I do not know if they can make a sequal without querying Robert Ludlum’s estate as the three movies were based on his three Bourne novels. If they made more I imagine they would have to ask permission. If they made more I would definetly be gamed to watch them. All in all Matt Damon did a kick ass job.

I also watched a fantasy movie called, Stardust. It was really good. How could anyone resist a movie that features the great Robert De Niro in drag? I think they should have released the movie in the fall instead of August. I think if it were released later in the year it would have gotten a higher box office gross.

SATURDAY with JOOST
Was about to leave out to visit my family. Then got out the automatic air air pump. Noticed that it had to be charged for 10 hours before you could use it. Looks like little Shay will have to wait a day before her pool has air in it.

I had nothing to do so I downloaded Joost and watched music videos. Joost is a site that I have heard a lot about on NPR. I feel priviledged to have it. On Joost I watched the first two episodes of Scott Baio is 45 and Single and the first episode of Welcome Back Kotter. I do not know why but I find the Scott Baio show obviously scripted and fake yet addictive. I hope that Joost will be able to get more episodes of the show.

Baio in the past has been a shameless womanizer. He has dated women who were never less than tens. Name a blonde Playboy Playmate or major hottie of the 80’s and 90s odds are they are exes of Baio. Surprise, surprise, his current girlfriend is an ex Playboy Playmate. I say he’s single because he’s having fun being Scott Baio. Why spoil the chick magnet lifestyle with a wife? If he does eventually get married I doubt if it will last long before he moves onto the next hottie of the week.

Either way its interesting checking into the life of an aging chick magnet and his aging hanger on friends. My goodness its like Enterourage only they are in there forties!

I tried to watch Strangers With Candy, the show about a 40something woman who goes back to high school but the system crashed. Oh well....
