The Adventures and Misadventures of a Neer Do Well Artist Living in Baltimore.

My Photo
Name:
Location: Baltimore, Maryland, United States

I am a visual artist and writer living in Baltimore. I don't have any artist friends. Frankly, artists scare me, there so darn flaky. The above picture is either of me or proof that I'm a pretty decent artist. My goal is to be a self sufficient artist, whereas I wouldn't have to do something else in the day in order to eke out an existence. I also like to attend various cultural events around town. I go to plays, the symphony, etc. Also, I have Asperger's Syndrome. I found this out recently and it has explained a heck of a lot as to why I am as I am.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Hallelujah! I am finally on time. The bus arrived at precisely its correct time. Not a minute too early or late. The only thing was I had to do a slight jog to catch the train. In the end it all worked out.

TV on the COMPUTER
Unfortunately, I did not do much watching much of anything last night. All my favourite shows will soon be on hiatus due to the Hollywood writers strike.

I believe Journeyman has only two episodes left. The rumour mill says that NBC will not air the last episode of the current story arc. It has also been surmised that if the writers strike continues on past such and such date that the networks will not have enough time to develop new shows for the 2008/2009 season so they will have to keep all the shows that are still on their current schedule.

At first I thought I would hate Journeyman because of the time travel premise. I thought it would be Quantum Leap meets Life on Mars.

Overall, it is very original on its take on time travel. Its reminiscent of a book I read called, The Time Traveler’s Wife. It has intrigue, Doctor Tachyon, what exactly is he hiding about time travel, How much is he hiding. The FBI guy who was tracking Dan appears to have been following other time travelers. He said money always trips them up. Is he in some sort of rogue X-Files division at the FBI? Jack shot him but I do not think he’s dead. You need someone on the show like him.

I love Livia, the time travelers from the 40s who looks more contemporary than 1940’s. She's pretty cool. I love the name of the actress that plays her,Moon Bloodgood. That has to be the coolest real life name ever right up there with a kid I went to school with, Speed Jones. His parents actually gave him that name!

Anyway, I love this show to death and hope and pray that all the internet rumours about its imminent demise are just rumours. All the same I will join the save Journeyman bandwagon. Also it is my understanding that the show is in the top ten on recorded DVR or TIVO shows. Personally, I think they should change its time-slot to something earlier. Its not a particularly racy show. Its too family friendly to be airing at 10pm.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on the heaviest and warmest top I own. My black Doctor Who sweatshirt with the blue show logo from the TV movie starring Paul McGann. I also have on a bright blue turtleneck, jeans, and New Balance 653 shoes.

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning I am running late. Egads! This time I almost made it. I made it to the bus stop in time to watch it pull off. So I suppose the driver will be arriving earlier than he is scheduled to arrive. Also there was yet another ticket inspection. What is up with all this ticket stuff everyday? Do they have a quota to meet? I guess it must have something to do with the guy who earlier this week was being chased by cops and escaped by running to a light rail station and blended in with the crowd. So I guess this caused the MTA to be more vigilant in checking for tickets.

TV
Watched a little of the Grinch. Had never noticed before that the narrator has an English accent. Loved Pushing Daisies. Do not feel very enthralled by Dirty, Sexy, Money. Loved the obvious reveal that the minister was not Tripps son but his former lawyers. Still have not checked on anything on the web. I do not know if the episode of House that ran on Monday was a repeat or if a new episode ran on its usual Tuesday timeslot. Still have not watched two weeks worth of Everybody Hates Chris.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING
I again went to Target and bought about 40something cookies in a tin. I bought about 20 chocolate chip ones and 20something gingerbread ones. I know I will not be able to please everyone. In fact Im sure some people hate me for doing this. Im doing it because its Christmas and I know no one else will.

I think it would be nice to give them out to the day and evening shift like I did last year. The gifts Ive found this year I feel are much fancier than last years plastic tree ornament filled with candy. It is just one cookie in a fancy tin and on the back of the tin is the fat, calorie, and fiber content. I will have to give these out along with the Christmas cards a couple of days before the Christmas Secret Santa gift exchage. I hope that the people I bought actual presents for are not offended. Its just that I love Christmas so much and thought it would be fun to surprise a couple of people.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today I have on a bright blue turtleneck, stone washed jeans, a black cardigan, and Nike MaxAir shoes.

MORNING COMMUTE:This morning I am again running late. I would have been on time but it appears that the bus arrived earlier than it was supposed to.

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING:
I continued on with my Christmas shopping. I bought candy canes on sale at CVS for eighty nine cents for a box of twelve. I was careful not to get the peppermint kind because some people do not like peppermint candycanes.

I never knew that Deborah did not like peppermint candycanes until last year. Come to think of it she never gave out peppermint candycanes, it was usually cherry flavoured.

Later today I plan on buying Christmas cards from Target. The main reason Im going to Target is that I have a zillion gift cards for that store.

Also last night I bought Cassandra a Hello Kitty themed gift and I bought Rick from the evening shift a Baltimore Ravens item. I do not know why I did this I barely know him. Then again, I barely know Cassandra other than she has a great sense of humor, collects Hello Kitty and M & M items. I guess I just bought it because I felt it would be a good gift fit for him. He seems to like the Ravens an aweful lot. I hope he is not offended that I bought him a gift.

The only other person at work I will buying a theme specific item for is Keisha she seems to be into Betty Boop. Other than those three, I can not think of anyone else at work who seems to be really into something.

I think I will give out the presents on the day we are supposed to exchange presents for Secret Santa or maybe the last day of work before Christmas break. I hope that the people I bought presents for are not in any way offended that I bought them something. I just bought them because I like to shop and its Christmas. I like Christmas because nearly everything is on sale!

TV
Last night because I got home kind of late from shopping I did not have enough time to watch anything on the internet. Instead I watched real TV shows on my television. I watched Heroes and Journeyman.

Journeyman is absolutely brilliant. I hope that it does not get cancelled. I hope that the rumours of its eventual cancellation are unfounded and just the work of paranoid fans. Loved that Dans brother Jack is finally on board with his brothers time travel ability. I think that Jack and Olivia should be shipped. It would be very interesting both brothers would then be in relationships with each others ex-girlfriends.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a denim blue flannel shirt, a red cardigan sweater, blue jeans, and New Balance 653 shoes.

I finallly decided to take out and iron one of my winter coats. The coat I have on is a tan teddy bear colored sherpa coat that zippers up. The zipper on this coat tends to slide down a lot. It refuses to stay stationary. Also it is only one size larger than my current dress size. My other coat is two dress sizes too large!!

MORNING COMMUTE:
Late again for work. I still feel depressed about my father refusing to go to the hospital and my sisters tumor.

WHY IM DEPRESSED:
Realized for the first time that it is a real possibility that I could loose my entire family. My sister has this tumor that should have been removed years ago but she refuses to go through the surgery to remove it. My brother this spring had quadrouple bypass surgery. He weighs over 300 lbs and smokes. He has yet to loose any weight or quit smoking. My father is extremely ill and refuses to get treatment of any kind.

What if they all died? I would be all alone save my nieces and nephew. Of which one of them had a breast cancer scare in her early twenties. So right now my heart is filled with malaise and sadness over situations I can not change.

I can not forceably get a court order to force my father to go to the hospital or my sister to get her surgery. If they die its there own damn fault! I have done and said everything I could think of to help them see they need treatment.

As far as my father goes its like he does not care that his refusal to get treatment is making everyone around him feel frustrated. Its like he delights in telling us all the things that are wrong with him.

When I think of it its kind of sick and twisted. And then when you ask him if he wants to go to the hospital he makes excuses why he can not go. He cant go because he needs a haircut and a shave or his clothes ironed. You do those things then he makes up other excuses like he needs a strong person to go with him. You offer to call a physically strong man to come along. He says no, do not bother him. Then you are back to where you started.

I think he is afraid that if he went to the hospital they would admit him. He may be afraid that if he left everything would go to seed. The house would turn into a crack den.

As I see it my father needs help. He is extremely thin. Both his legs and feet are swollen. His breath is extremely labored. He is out of breath frequently. He could pick up a piece of paper and it taxes his respiratory system. His vision is going.

I feel he has resigned himself to die and does not want to get better. He is commiting suicide before my very eyes and there is nothing I can do to prevent it.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a green and white marble looking sweater, blue jeans, and Nike MaxAir shoes.

SUNDAY...SAD DAY
Today I did not do much. I was so depressed. I could barely get out of bed. Early this morning my sister called to tell me that she has been trying to get my father to go to the hospital. She also told me she missed surgery to remove a growth. This situation with her growth goes back a long way. In fact it goes back to the days when the other Brian was the supervisor for my group at work. So I spent the day reminded that my sister has a growth that she has refused for several years to have anything done with and a father who is extremely ill yet refuses to go to the hospital.

iPod FORMAT CHANGE
When I woke up this morning I decided to flip the format on my iPod to all Holiday
music. It took about four hours to burn discs for the new music I added to iTunes this year. It took no time at all to add the Christmas music. My Christmas music is already stored on various discs. Since this is pretty much it for the year as I my iTunes song selection is now 100% all Christmas music I thought it would be interesting to list some music stats that iTunes keeps. My most listened to songs, recently listened to songs, and recently added songs I will post on Christmas Eve.

At the end of the Holiday season sometime in January I will post my most listened to Holiday songs. Which will serve as a list of my own personal favourite Holiday songs. One things for sure the dreaded Christmas Shoes song will not be on my list neither will Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer or Dear Mr. Jesus. I do not own any of those horrid songs.

Also today I downloaded new Christmas songs I did not already have in my collection. Those new songs include The Eurythmics Sleigh Ride, I was surprised that I did not already have it. Also off iTunes I downloaded Sleigh Ride this time by a group called Relient K. I know nothing about the group only that there Christmas album is in the top 5 or 10 in iTunes Holiday Music. I already pretty much already own the majority of songs on there list of top Holiday downloads.

TV on the INTERNET
It looks like there were no new episodes for shows on NBC’s Thursday night lineup.

So I decided to give Torchwood another try. I watched episode 13. The copy I watched seemed to be out of synch with sound. Things I noticed was that the guy who owned the watch shop seemed to resemble the First Doctor. Only he was creepy to the thousandth degree. At the end you hear the sound of the Tardis and Jack takes off with the Doctors hand. I do not know how he acquired it but since Ive already seen the third season of Doctor Who I know how it fits into the season finale of Doctor Who.

To me the acting on Torchwood seems very amatuer hour. Barrowman though cute as hell does not have a wide acting range. Like when Jack is mad his voice sounds mad but he does not look mad just emotionless. I love the pairing of Jack and Iantho. Never thought I would find myself liking a gay male couple. Iantho seems very sweet and sentimental. I like the idea of the two of them together.

The only other episode of Torchwood Ive seen was the first episode where we are introduced to Torchwood through the the eyes of Gwen, the gap toothed policewoman.

I tried to watch the second episode but most of the links did not work. I tried again a couple of weeks ago but could not really get into it. I think the show needs a better writer at the helm than Colbain and maybe an onset acting coach. Barrowman rocks on Doctor Who as Captain Jack but on his own show he seems so so.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Its the day after Thanksgiving. The streets on the way to work were nearly devoid of cars. The bus and light rail cars were nearly empty. God/Goddess, I love this day! At work Im expecting it to be a virtual ghost town as well.

Oh, by the way Im late. I was not in a particular rush as it being Black Friday and everything.

BLACK FRIDAY
Today is the biggest shopping day before Christmas. Its when everything goes on sale for outlandishly cheap prices. This is the one day you can find a High Def TV for 65 bucks after today it goes back up to a normal sale price.

Unfortunately, I do not have any money to spend. Christmas presents from me will bought to you by the fine people at TARGET. I acquired a boat load of gift cards from them for doing Tuesday overtime at work.

Im giving serious thought of giving Arnold his gift card in a cute Hallmark stuffed bear gift card holder I saw at Walgreens the other day. Why? Just to see the look on his face. Will it be angry, happy, or indifferent? I am betting on no reaction at all.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a magenta tweedy sweater, an indigo blue mock turtleneck, blue jeans, and Nike MaxAir shoes.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING
Today, I visited my father for Thanksgiving. Before I went off to visit him I made a Christmas Station on Pandora. Then I decided to pick up the shared Macys Department Store Holiday Radio Station. The Christmas station I started kept veering off course. The one that Macys Department store has is more my idea of the type of holiday music I wanted on my station. I also picked up there Macys Winter Radio Station. The music it plays is on par with the Vegas radio station I started over the summer. My Vegas station plays stuff like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald etc. I think you get my drift. 50s era mob music. An era where women were called dames and men wore fedoras.

As far as Thnaksgiving goes my niece Alesea drove me and her brother, Little David over the house in a car she bought at Eastern Motors. A dealership that has the tag line, Your Job is Your Credit. She told me that she just bought the car yesterday. On the drive over she got pulled over by the campus police. He ran her license. She felt that it was a bad deal that on her first full day of driving her new car she got pulled over. Another campus police car showed up to back him up. Why I do not know? We did not look like a major flight risk. After it was all over and he returned her license, she said, “Thank you officer.” He immediately retorted her by saing “There is NO thank you!”

I suppose he was feeling angry and vengeful because he had to work Thanksgiving and she was not wanted for anything. He claimed she had turned onto a two way lane without signaling. Personally, I think he was just making it up because he was bored and wanted to make someone pay for his having to work on a holiday. He was a complete asshole.

My father is still hesitant about going to the hospital. He is still having difficulty breathing. He told me that he barely gets any sleep because of it. His feet and legs are swollen. He is rail thin yet feels constantly hungry. I think he is afraid that if he went to the hospital they will end up admitting him.

My niece also drove me home. I took a plate of food home with me. When I got home I watched Tuesdays episode of House,MD.

HOUSE, MD
This was one episode where I found myself yelling at the screen because of the Hematology diagnostic inaccuracies. On the show House said that they test for antibodies before the blood group. This is patently untrue you always test for the blood group before you would even venture into doing a transfusion. Inaccuracies in blood group transfussions could cause a transfusion reaction of epic proportions also known as death. After you have the patients ABO blood group type then you run an antibody panel to determine which blood group to perform a crossmatch with. I have never heard of anyone just running an antibody panel without finding out the blood type. Sure in emergency cases you would give O negative blood to cover all your bases. But at the same time you would do a proper blood type test and run an antibody panel. Then later give them the proper blood.

Also Doctors are never in hospital labs running lab tests that is the job of Medical Technologists. I ought to know I went to school to become one. I am amazed each week at the number of tests the Doctors run themselves on the show. This is not based anywhere in reality. Doctors order tests that other people perform. With the number of tests that these Doctors perform on TV a real life Doctor would barely have time to see patients.

Its a fun show and I allow it its creative license of having doctors personally run lab tests but this episode in particular stood out as being extremely medically inaccurate. I was yelling at the screen. If there was an ABO discrepency the patient would have been dead right from the start of transfusion.. A mismatch in blood type is tantamount to death. You would have a delayed reaction only if it was an RH discrepency. Geez, you would think that the writers of this show would bother to do a little research before they came up with there cockamamie conclusion! Since I studied Hematology/Immunohematology (Blood Banking) and a host of other subjects at the University of Maryland School of Medicine department of Medical and Research Technology, Im a little sensitive on this particular subject.

MORNING COMMUTE:
It looks like Im on time this morning. The only reason for this is because I took a cab down to the light rail station. I was not sure if I had enough money to pay the cabbie. Luckily, the driver was African and he asked me up front how much I wanted to pay. All I had was five dollars. I said five dollars and paid him when I got out the cab. He asked if I was heading for the airport. Which was logical as it is the day before Thanksgiving. I told him, “I was going to work in Hunt Valley.” Unfortunately, he did not offer to drive me there for the five bucks gave I gave him. The train arrived slightly earlier than usual. I think the main reason the bus did not arrive at its usual time is that most likely the regular LL Cool J looking driver took the day off.

TV on the INTERNET:
I did not watch anything last night. I spent the night adding entries to my blog from October. Basically, I write something everyday but am slow to upload it because I like to look things over before I publish them to the web.

I can say that I plan on watching Pushing Daisies and either Life or Dirty, Sexy, Money in real time. I can do this because I have tomorrow off due to Thanksgiving.

As far as other shows go I am now two episodes behind on Everybody Hates Chris and I have not watched last nights episode of House,MD. To the best of my knowledge there is no show currently running on Wednesday night at 9pm that I want to watch.

I think the main reason my TV viewing has picked up is because I have only recently realised that I can watch TV on my computer. The main reason I do not watch regular TV is because I am busy at night either working on my art or writing.

Last fall I kind of got into watching Greys Anatomy but as weeks weared on I found myself drifting away from it. The main reason being was that I would get caught up in doing something then forget that I was supposed to watch Greys Anatomy.

It was only recently that I discovered that I could watch TV shows on delay on the internet. Heck, I watched an entire season of Doctor Who on th internet. I watched episodes the day after they originally aired in the UK. I also watched two seasons of Life on Mars on the internet. So I was aware of who John Simm was before he was cast as the Master on Doctor Who. Over the summer I watched early episodes of Heroes that I missed. I only started watching Heroes when Christopher Ecclestons episodes began airing in late January. So I had no idea what had previously occurred on the show before his arrival.

Then this season I got the idea that I would comb TV reviews to see what shows would be good to watch. From this I decided to follow Life mainly because of the brilliantly talented Damien Lewis, Pushing Daisies because Anna Friel was in it and it has a whimsical feel. Moonlight, got horrible reviews but I watch it anyway because I have a thing for vampire detective shows. I have to admit that the pilot episode of Moonlight was horrendous but felt that the show would eventually pick up because uber talented David Greenwaldt was hired as the show runner. Greenwaldt, previously was show runner for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Sad to learn that he had to leave Moonlight due to a catastrophic illness he is suffering from. Moonlight as I predicted with the Greenwaldt infulence has substantially picked up.

I started watching Journeyman because at first I thought it would be a cheap knock off of Quantum Leap meets Life on Mars but soon fell in love with it. Journeyman is a great show but NBC does next to nothing to promote it.

I watch Dirty, Sexy, Money because it looked like it would be tongue in cheek soap opera fun. However, Im thinking about dropping the show. Main reason being I do not understand the motivation of Blair Underwoods character, Simon Elder.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on a brown mock turtleneck, blue jeans, New Balance 653 shoes, and a black cardigan sweater.

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning I decided to change my morning routine to bathing before doing yoga. I figure this would give my skin more time to dry before I leave out in the morning. Ive been sniffling and sneezing a lot. Im sure this is due to leaving out for work immediately after having bathed. This was OK during warm weather months but is wreaking with my health now that we are in cold weather months.

TV on the INTERNET
I still have yet to watch last week or last nights episode of Everybody Hates Chris.

In real time last night I watched Heroes and Journeyman. The only reason I watch these back to back is because they are two shows in a row on the same network that I like. I could do the same with NBC on Thursday but Im usually watching shows I missed on that day. I like to leave My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, and The Office for weekends.

On tonight episode of Heroes Noah had a lot of memorable kick ass lines last night. I still do not trust West. I still think he’s working for the Company or maybe even Adam. Whom we learned last night is 400 years old and never ages!

Journeyman is shaping up well. I hope that NBC does not cancel it. I hear that NBC will be trying out Life in Journeyman’s timeslot. I like Life its on my rooster of shows I watch on the internet. I just would just prefer it if both shows survived. My understanding is that the current arc of shows for Journeyman is designed to end in December that way it would be a proper season end or story arc end if the series continues.

The only new show I watch that I know is a lock to survive is Pushing Daisies. I would also place bets that Moonlight and Life to survive. Early in the season NBC was running ads touting the shows critical claim. To the best of my knowledge NBC has never cancelled a show that the critics rave about even if the ratings are bad. The rave review show becomes there prestige show. The only one that seems iffy is Journeyman and Dirty, Sexy, Money.

In my opinion NBC is doing next to nada to promote Journeyman. Its a good show and it has Reed Diamond, who played Kellerman the conflicted cop from Homicide. The show has a casting directer who casts people who actually look related. I swear Kevin McKid and Diamond look just like blood
relations. The kid they cast as McKid’s son also looks a little like him. Usually shows cast people who look nothing alike as family. Take for example the aunts on Pushing Daisies they look nothing alike. At first I thought that maybe they were a lesbian couple and that only one of them was really Chucks Aunt. By the way the woman playing Chuck is British. Shes doing real good not once have I heard her real accent slip out.

TV on the INTERNET

TV on the INTERNET
This morning I watched Arsenic and Old Lace as I ate my breakfast. I watched it on the internet on the America Free TV website. The site focuses on showing old movies that are in the public domain. It also shows some indie movies as well

. I have never seen the movie before. But pretty much know the play its based on. Unfortunately, I missed it at Center Stage. Pamela Payton Wright was in the version that Center Stage did. She used to play Dorian’s crazy sister Addie Cramer on One Life To Live.

I also went over to OutPost Gallifrey and was shocked and amazed that Peter Davison appeared with David Tennent in a Children in Need Doctor Who special. So you know as soon as I read that I scoured the internet to find the episode.

I hope that they will be able to get him to appear in later episodes of Doctor Who. He was amazing in the episode that I saw with Tennent. I love how they explained why it was that Davison looked his age as opposed to the twentysomething he was when he first played the role.

SATURDAY
Got up early enough to make an actual deposit in an actual bank instead of at an ATM. Truth be told Im a little afraid to use my ATM card in an ATM machine that captures it. My card is a little bent up and Im afraid that one of these days the ATM will capture it and never return it back. I guess I should just order another card but if I did that there would be x amount of days without easy access to buying something. Everything is pretty much tied into my checking account.

TV on the Internet
Last night I watched Thursdays episodes of My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, and The Office. Also last night I watched Moonlight in real time.

I guess I like any show that features vampire detectives (Moonlight, Angel, Forever Knight) and time travel, (Journeyman, Doctor Who, Quantum Leap, Early Edition, Voyager!). The perfect show for me would be about an angst ridden time traveling vampire. Who has a snarky vampire friend ala (Spike(angel/buffy the vampire slayer) and that blond guy with a buzz cut from Forever Knight) and Josef from Moonlight) Must have a human female companion ala all of Doctor Who. I think the snarky vampire friend is essential.

This afternoon I watched Dirty, Sexy, Money. I do not understand the point of Blair Underwoods character, Simon Elder, being from Russia. This teeny little detail I can not connect with. Why Russia? Why not from Africa or the hood? There are barely any blacks in that country. The ones who are there are primarily the decendents of African American expatriots who decided to move there because they felt that they would have a better chance of success in a Communist country. If you read the Communist Manifesto it does sound pretty good on paper but fails in reality. Its just that one character that I do not understand his motivation. Will we find out he’s Skip’s illegitimate son or nephew or something like that. I do not understand the grudge? Its all so puzzling but not in a good way.

Next I watched Pushing Daisies. It was brilliant as usual. God! J’adore Pushing Daisies! Its pure perfection! Loved that there was an actress from Doctor Who in it, Christine Adams. She played the black reporter from the space station in the Docor Who episode called, The Long Game. On this episode of Pushing Daisies she did a good job of playing a dominitrix-esque dog trainer. Looks like Ms. Adams is really talented and has good agent too!

CHRISTMAS RADIO FORMAT FLIP

BNL God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

Today the light radio station in Baltimore has flipped to all Christmas music. My favourite Christmas song at the moment is, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen/We Three Kings, by that Canadian group Bare Naked Ladies. So far I have not heard the most evilest Christmas song ever penned, The Christmas Shoes, but I am sure some inbred retard listener will request it. Its only matter of time before my joy of hearing Christmas music on the radio will be shattered.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on black slacks, a black turtleneck and a green and white marble knit sweater, and New Balance 653 shoes.

Secret Santa
Yesterday at work we drew names for Secret Santa, this year I got Arnold. Yeah! I can not figure out what he wrote for his first choice of present. It looks like it says Merlot which I think is a wine. The second choice was vague it said “Einstein” book. Einstein book? Which one? There have been hundreds of books written about Einstein or did he mean a book that Einstein himself wrote. The last choice was Wegemans. Most likely I’ll buy him a gift card from Wegemans.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Today, I am running on time. The #20 bus showed up on time. It was still being driven by the LL Cool J looking driver.

TV on the INTERNET
I did not watch anything last night on my MacBook. All of today my muscles have been feeling achy. I started and ended my workday with aspirins. The aches are mostly in my shoulders, arms, right hand, and right leg.

Could it be arthritis? Nah, can’t be Im too young.. It must have been the weather sometimes when it rains my muscles start to ache.

When I was a sophomore in high school I got in a bus accident. I was halfway in the bus when the bus driver suddenly closed the door on my shoulder. I was dragged a good block and a half before he stopped. So half my body was in the bus the other half was still outside. I had to get a sling, had to do physical therapy, and had a chiropracter. Took pain medication. The pain medication did not make me feel high or anything. I do not understand how people get hooked on it. Then again maybe because I was a kid the doctor prescribed me low doses of it. I can not recall what the name of it was. It did diddly squat for me. Maybe I should have told the doctor that the pain pills were not working. Then I would have gotten the good stuff...

All the kids at school who said that they were willing to be witnesses to what happened never panned out. As a result my lawsuit against the MTA was unsuccesful. I suppose if I were a more outgoing person in high school they would have been more forthcoming with my lawyer and I would have won the lawsuit.

So all I have now is intermittent pain around my shoulder and arms on rainy days. Its always on the same side of my body. I suppose even if I did win the money I would still have the residual pain from the injury.

God/Goddess knows its not because of lack of use. I start my day with yoga and two to three times a week I do strength training with light hand weights. The heaviest dumbell I own is eight pounds. I also like using stretchy elastic bands. I thought that by doing exercises like the ones I do would somehow eliminate muscle aches on rainy days and the spector of arthritis.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on NikeMaxAir shoes, black slacks, a red hoodie, and an ecru mock turtleneck that has a design of small patchwork cloths and flowers on it. I am starting to give series thought to buying clothes and shoes from catalogs this season. I still need a coat that does not swaddle me and acts more as a blanket than a coat.

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning I am yet again running late.

TV on the INTERNET:
Last night I watched Heroes and Journeyman in real time.

On Journeyman I had to find out what Livia’s secret was. I felt happy in knowing that I deduced correctly that Livia was from the past not Dan’s time period.

Today, I did not go to Church. I did not much feel like doing anything. I just stayed home and watched movies on the internet. I found a site that primarily runs old movies that are in the public domain. Since its legal I’ll give it a shout out. The name of the site o is AmericaFreeTV.

This morning on that site I watched Baby Face Morgan.

Immediately after watching the movie I had to find out if the guy who played the lead in the movie, Richard Cromwell, was gay. My gaydar went off watching him. He seemed super effiminate. So gay that even a blind or dead man could tell which team he played for. On wikepedia he is listed as being bisexual which is pretty much a euphemism for gay. So I feel good that my gaydar is working pretty well.

MORNING COMMUTE:
Today, Saturday overtime was offered. As per usual I was late. We were backed up at work because we outsource to India and there system has been down for a couple of days. The last time something like this happened we were told that they had a really bad monsoon in India. Im not sure if the new administration that runs the office will bother to tell us what happened. In the back of my mind Im wondering if the people in India had a strike or maybe an act of terrorism had occurred which prevented them from doing there job.

My cell phone is still broke. Eventually, I will have to either contact the cell phone company to see if they will give me another phone or buy a new phone.

TV on the Internet
Today, I watched CBS soaps (Guiding Light, As The World Turns, and The Young and the Restless) from this weeks Monday episode to the Thursday episode. Apparently, CBS will not be uploading Fridays episodes on Joost until Monday.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today I have on my Halloween sweatshirt, blue jeans, New Balance 653 shoes, a red fleece hoodie, and a jacket I have owned for a very long time.

MORNING COMMUTE:
I left out to catch the bus on time. The bus arrived on time. Unfortunately, it was crowded and drove right by me. So this morning I am late. It is extremely cold outside this morning. I’ll start taking more of my winter clothes out of storage this week. All my winter clothes are clean. I washed and stored them back in July. I have yet to put away all my summer clothes. Some are in storage others have to be washed before I store them away. Others Im looking into getting rid of but am apprehensive about. These are the clothes that are in sizes I no longer wear. Im afraid that if I get rid of them I might gain a lot of weight again and would have to buy new clothes. As it is now I need more clothes in smaller sizes. But again I am apprehensive about buying them. I think I’ll wait about five years and if I stay at this weight then I can safely assume that its OK to buy new things. As it is now all the winter coats I own are at my old dress size of 4/5 years ago. So that means that they are two sizes too big. Again Im afraid to throw them out. Maybe, I’ll wait another 10 years before I buy a new coat if Im still the same size I am now...

TV ON THE INTERNET
This evening on a whim I clicked on the link to the latest episode of House, MD that was in DIVX. To my amazement my computer could read the file. Previously it would not read it and it would often times crash my computer. I had no other choice because all the other sites had last weeks episode, Mirror Mirror still up. I thought that at least one conscientious House, MD viewer would bother to upload Tuesdays episode. The only reason I can come up with as to why my computer now plays DIVX without crashing is that I recently uploaded the latest version of the Macintosh operating system.

I have yet to swing by the dreaded NBC site to see if its running adequately. I have yet to watch Wednesdays episode of Life. I also have not watched My Name is Earl, The Office, or 30 Rock. I like to watch them on the weekend while Im eating breakfast or dinner.

WHAT IM WEARING:
This morning I am dressed in several layers. Its 30 degrees outside and I have not taken out my oversized winter coats yet. They are all two sizes too big and Im lets face it to lazy to go out and buy new ones in a dress size Ive been in for about 4/5 years. So I have on a jacket Ive owned since my freshman year of college, a red fleece hoodie, a purple thermal henley, beneath the henley unseen to human eyes is a white t-shirt, Nike Max Air shoes with a pink swoosh sign on the side, and stone washed blue jeans. The jacket from college fits perfectly its not too big.

My new size is actually my old size I used to wear in high school/college. I was never a thin woman always big. So Im at a smaller fat size. I dont have a weight goal. In fact I have no idea what I weigh. I figure its best just to keep doing what Im doing. Yoga and meditation in the morning, 30 minute walk around noon, strength training with light girly girl weights two to three times a week.

I still follow Weight Watchers I just haven’t been to a meeting since it was offered at my work place many moons ago. That was around the time I lost the weight that has managed not to come back since. All they do is weigh you and lecture you about food and give out recipe cards. I can buy all the weight watchers products I want online off of eBay.

MORNING COMMUTE:
I caught the #2 bus at 7:07. It arrived at the light rail station at 7:09. When I got to the station I felt a little apprehensive. The reason why I felt apprehensive was because I did not see anyone. My heart was filled with fear that maybe the train had arrived earlier than usual. It has a tendancy to do that from time to time. Luckily, the train arrived on time. I can only assume that the reason for the missing people was that the bus was late.

TV ON THE INTERNET
Unfortunately, this evening Pushing Daisies was preempted by the CMAs. The only thing I could think to do was turn on Joost. Luckily, Joost has put up Mondays episodes of CBS soaps. So I can assume that today Tuesdays episodes will be up. I watched As The World Turns, Guiding Light, and half of The Young and the Restless. Also using Joost I had to turn off As The World Turns to turn on regular TV to watch Pushing Daisies and when I turned my computer back on it had bookmarked the scene I had left off watching. I think that is cool. So I did not have to go back and watch the entire episode again. So that means when I watch Mondays Y&R it will play again where I had left off.

Quick Impressions of Soaps I Have Watched: I feel deeply disturbed by Dusty’s haircut. I feel Grayson McCouch should grow his hair out. He looks like a prison inmate. Guiding Light: I like how the actress playing seems out of it like you would expect someone would be who was in a major disaster. Young and the Restless: I was rooting for Victor to hit Jack when Jack was baiting him about the Clear Springs disaster.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on cocoa brown slacks, a dark blue long sleeve top, a red fleece hoodie, New Balance 653 shoes, and jacket I have owned since my freshman year of college.

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning either the train was late or the train arrived earlier than usual. I do not know which. All I know for sure was that the #20 bus arrived at its scheduled arrival time driven by the LL Cool J looking driver. When I got to the light rail stop I saw the usual suspects of passengers and coworkers who are usually there when I am on time. The first train I saw was the Penn Station train. I do not know why the Penn Station came before the Hunt Valley train. It came at the time that the Hunt Valley train usually arrives. Im late because of the train.

CHRISTMAS IS CANCELLED
I think I will have to put off buying Christmas presents this year. I feel too stressed out and uncertain about the future. The Governor is proposing tax hikes which he calls revenue enhancements. BGE is proposing rate increases. The price of gasoline is going up yet again. It all makes me want to move to a 3rd world country that is not currently embroiled in a war. If I did that I could live like a Queen on the money I now make. Right now I feel one step from being homeless and on the dole.

By the way I did not vote for Martin O’Malley for Governor, I voted for Ehrlich. The reason being I felt that Ehrlich was doing a good job and did not see any reason to replace him.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on black slacks, Nike MaxAir shoes, a short sleeve tye dyed turquoise top, and a red chenille hoodie that sheds a lot. I have to figure out how to make it stop shedding over everything... Also I have on a jacket I have owned since my freshman year of college, which was sometime in the 90s.

ELECTION DAY
Took the day off for Election Day so that I could vote.

Realized in horror that I accidentally wrote out rent payment on a check whose account I had cancelled months ago. I thought I had destroyed all the check books off the old account. I wrote out another check on my new account. Placed a pink stickey note on it explaining what had happened. I feel deeply embarrassed. I hope that everything works out OK. I also left a message on my landlords answering machine. My cell phone is broke I will have to contact my cell phone company to see if they can send me another phone. Then again it could be that I need a new battery. I’ll call them first to see what they say. Im not sure if the warranty ran out on it or not. Im not even sure when I bought it. I think it was sometime last year. As far as the month is concerned I can’t remember. Im also thinking about switching to another cell phone company that runs like the one I already have, Tracfone. I want something thats pay as you go. I do not want a monthly bill because I do not use the phone that much. I have it more for safety and emergency purposes.

TV ON THE INTERNET
This morning I watched CBS soaps on Joost. The only show I have left to watch for November 2, 2007 is The Young and The Restless. I do not know when Joost puts out shows from this week. For all I know they might start showing shows from this week on Saturday. Last Saturday morning was when I started watching the shows from 10/29/07 to 11/03/07.

BBC Radio 7
This evening because I was pretty much caught up on all my shows. I watched Everybody Hates Chris, Heroes, and Journeyman in real time. The reason I could do this was because I had the next day off.

Anyway, I listened to there Heroes show. Currently, in the UK they are up to episode 17 of season 1, Company Man. I do not really see the reason for the existence of the 15 minute show. It seems very geeky. Im sure that 90% of the listeners have probably already found out how the season ends via the internet. Anyway, its interesting to listen to listeners views and theories about what is going on. Also listened to a show about a man looking back on growing up in the 70s. Hey, I grew up in the 70s too! Well, late 70’s to 80s... It was funny. Also listened to The Boosh. It was very funny and surreal. Whoever the Brit was that was doing the black voices and the New York voices was spot on good. Then again for all I know they might have had an American black and a New Yorker on staff. The show was very surreal. Im sure the writers do tons of drugs. Would like to see how the TV version of the radio show, The Mighty Boosh translates in visuals. The radio show came out before it went to TV.

MORING COMMUTE:
Daylight savings time has kicked in. Woke up earlier than usual and cleaned the bathroom toilet. It took longer than I thought so now Im late. Moral lesson is not to do housework when you wake up early because before you know it time slips away faster than you think.

TV ON THE INTERNET
Tried to watch the episodes I missed of 30 Rock and My Name is Earl on the NBC website. The site is acting loopy again. It does not play anything. I just get a sign saying I need to install Adobe Flashplayer 9. I have that installed already. So figuring that they must have come out with an updated version of it I went to the site and downloaded it. Went back to the NBC site and it still says I need to install Flashplayer 9. What The Heck is Going on at the NBC website. I swear every weekend they manage to screw up there site! Every other networks internet player works perfectly except theirs! They need to get there act together. I had no other recourse but to go over to an alternative website to view the shows I missed but NBC is too incompetent to put up.

WHAT IM WEARING:
Today, I have on dark blue slacks, a blue and white top that has a modern design on it. On my feet are black leather lace up shoes. I have them on because yesterday I had on the black canvas shoes and do not feel tennis shoes go that well with what I am wearing.

SUNDAY
I got a lot accomplished today. I went to the Laundromat early this morning. Afterwards I headed to Church. I was 20 minutes late. It was not too bad because they had a baby dedication ceremony. Which means I did not miss much. Rev. Dorien did a good job of guilting us during morning offerings. I could only afford to give $2. Afterwards I went to the supermarket. I got home an realised that I was completely caught up with my TV shows. The only thing left to watch were soap operas on Joost. So I spent the evening watching Everybody Hates Chris followed by the Halloween episodes of Guiding Light and As The World Turns.

Guiding Light got really into the Halloween spirit with a spooky episode set in a mental hospital. All throughout watching ASTWT I kept wondering why Paul and Rosanna would set there wedding date for Halloween? I mean who gets married on Halloween? I could see if they were a goth edgy couple but there not. It just seemed weird. Loved Luke getting mad and yelling at everyone because he’s in a wheelchair. His character is ordinarily a goody two-shoes gay guy now he’s an angry cripple gay guy.

The big event of the day was that I visited my father. The big realization of the day is that I need a new phone.

MY CELL PHONE
My cell phone is not working correctly. It does not hold charges. I think I may have to buy a new battery for it. I would hate to buy an entirely new phone because I still have minutes on this phone and am not sure if they will transfer minutes from an old phone onto a new one. I did drop it a couple of days ago. It worked fine. Even recharged it and it held charge like normal. It was only on Wednesday that I charged it on an alternative charger and noticed that after 4 hours there was no appreciatable change in battery level. I put it down to not using a Motorola charger. The next day I tried to charge it with the Motorola charger still after 8 hour it showed no sign it was charging just a sign on the phone saying Recharging Battery. Id take the charger out turn on the phone and the battery sign would be empty. Previously it read 2 signal bars. Then it would turn itself off.

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning I am on time for work the bus got me to the light rail station at 6am. I had enough time to buy breakfast from 7-11. The train took a long ass time leaving the North Avenue station. Also there was a ticket check this morning. I wonder why it took so long for the train to leave. Also the train arrived a little late at the downtown station. It looks like I might end up being late again due to the MTA.

TV ON THE INTERNET
Last night I watched House, MD. I had to search around to find a site that had the latest episode in a format I could use. It seemed that it was only available in DIVX6. I finally found a site that my computer could play. It was similar to the one I found for Heroes earlier this season when the NBC site was down. I wish that site had a list of its sister sites. It was clearly made by the same people who made the Heroes site because the layout and video player were the same.

Also watched Pushing Daisies on the ABC site. As per usual the ABC site was a wonderful experience. Not once did anything go wrong with the video player. I can not watch Pushing Daisies without smiling. The show is pure magic.

I still have to watch Life, Dirty, Sexy, Money, and last nights episodes of My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, and The Office.

WHAT IM WEARING:

MORNING COMMUTE:
This morning I am running late.

TAX HIKES
I am giving serious thought to leaving Maryland. BGE is proposing another rate hike and Governor O’Malley wants to do a tax hike which he has the audacity to call a Revenue Enhancement. If O’Malley gets his way this will be the highest tax increase in Maryland history as well as possibly the highest tax increase in the country. Its as though the Governor and BGE want to drive people out of Maryland. Its getting to the point where I seriously doubt I can afford to live in Maryland.
